Mercedes-Benz has opened the order books for the four-wheel drive variants of the S-Class Coupé, the S500 4Matic Coupé and the S 63 AMG 4Matic Coupé. The former is priced from €125,961.50 ($173,915), while the latter starts from €170,586.50 ($235,528) – both prices are for the German market. Both coupés will arrive in dealerships in September.

The two AWD models feature standard Airmatic air suspension with the adaptive ADS Plus damping system, while RWD models are available with the Magic Body Control suspension system featuring the innovative curve inclination function. Both AWD coupés feature an extensive list of standard equipment, including Comand Online, Thermotronic automatic climate control, and the LED Intelligent Light System. RWD models can be ordered starting July 14.

The S 500 4Matic Coupé is powered by a 4.7-liter V8 biturbo engine producing 449 hp (455PS) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque, while the S 63 AMG 4Matic Coupé is motivated by a 5.5-liter V8 biturbo unit producing 577hp (585PS) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque.

As it has accustomed its customers lately, Mercedes-Benz will also offer an Edition 1 model of the S-Class Coupé. Available for a limited period, this model includes exterior highlights such as the LED Intelligent Light System with Swarovski crystals and Night View Assist Plus with Spotlight function.

On the inside, standard features include the the Exclusive Interior package featuring seats in designo Exclusive nappa leather in crystal grey/black or Bengal red/black, instrument panel with contrasting piping, front and rear center armrests and door panels in nappa leather with contrasting topstitching, 3-spoke multifunction sports steering wheel in wood/leather or AMG 3-spoke sports steering wheel with Edition 1 lettering and more.

S-Class Coupé Edition 1 models in Germany are priced at €140,193.90 ($193,495) for the S 500 4Matic Coupé and €181,326.25 ($250,357) for the S 63 AMG 4Matic Coupé.
