The confusion over whether Opel and sister firm Vauxhall are completing work on a test mule for the next generation Corsa or a heavy facelift remains, and the elaborate camouflage of this three-door prototype isn’t helping much.

All the spy pictures we have seen to date appear to show a redesign of the current Corsa D that has been on the market since 2006 having undergone light cosmetic surgery in 2011, with an Opel Adam-themed front end and a brand new styling for the dashboard, and not an all-new model.

However, the notion that this is a refreshed version holds true if what we see here is a prototype of the production car, and not a test mule, in which case, Opel is simply using the current version’s shell for evaluation purposes.

Around the web, some publications like AutoMotorundsport magazine agree with the facelift idea, while others, like Autoexpress, say it’s the next generation Corsa, with everyone agreeing on the introduction date at this October’s Paris Motor Show.
