For those who want their new Scirocco or Golf Variant to look sharper than the standard models, Volkswagen has released a new set of R-Line packages.

Designed by Volkswagen R, the new packages offer a more dynamic and sportier appearance for the exterior, as well as interior touches that complement the styling upgrades on the outside.

The R-Line exterior package for the new Scirocco brings R-Line front and rear bumpers, flared sills, rear spoiler, 18-inch “Salvador” alloy wheels, black radiator grille with R-Line logo and fog lights. The package costs €2,060 ($2,840) in Germany.

The R-Line interior kit includes “Race” fabric upholstery with R-Line logo and Alcantara inserts, Crystal Grey decorative stitching, black headliner, Carbon Touch inlays, Piano Black decor for the radio panel, steering wheel and door pull handles, leather sports steering wheel with R-Line logo and stainless steel pedals and aluminum sill plates with R-Line logo. The interior package is offered for €845 ($1,168).

The Golf Variant gets a similar treatment, with the exterior package including R-Line front and rear bumpers, R-Line black ventilation grille, radiator grille with R- Line logo, flared sills, black rear diffuser, vertical rear spoiler and fog lights. The package costs €1,055 for the Highline trim level and €1,240 for Comfortline models.

The R-Line interior package for the Golf Variant includes sports seats upholstered in Race fabric or San Remo microfiber with Crystal Gray decorative stitching and R-Line logos, multifunction sports leather steering wheel with R- Line logo and similar trim to the Scirocco’s R-Line interior pack. The package is priced at €650 for Highline models and €955 for Comfortline models.

Additionally, the Golf Variant is available with an R-Line sports package with a tuned suspension, progressive steering and tinted rear window and rear side windows. The package costs €435 and is available for all equipment grades.
