Founded in 1958 and named by the Walklett brothers after one of their old girlfriends, Ginetta Cars Limited is known only in certain circles of car lovers, primarily from the UK.

Much like the other small British sports car manufacturers, Ginetta also faced continuity impairing issues throughout its history, but as the video posted below, courtesy of Men&Motors shows, they got through all of them and are still alive and well today.

Ginetta was purchased in 2005 by LNT Automotive, and all operations were transferred to a new and more modern facility in 2007, where the company’s most recent model, the G50, is built; it was created to mark the 50th anniversary of the company.

It was also expected to spawn an electric variant with up to 250 miles (400 km) of range, but it, like the road-going version of the G50 seem to have been dropped from the company’s priorities list.
