As we reported before, the Fiat brand will split its European lineup in two categories: a rational side best portrayed by the Panda and an emotional side represented by the 500.

The presentation related to the Fiat brand’s product plan includes new models for each side of the company’s personality. The lower end of the lineup will see the launch of a new compact model which will replace the Bravo, as well as a mysterious LCV derivative.

The compact model will first arrive as a sedan in late 2015, followed by hatchback and wagon versions in 2016. A B-segment model will launch in 2016 as a replacement for the Punto, followed by a compact crossover in 2017 and a redesigned Panda in 2018.

The more emotional side of Fiat will receive the 500X crossover late this year, which will share the platform with the Jeep Renegade, plus a “specialty” model arriving in late 2015. The latter is likely to be the sports car co-developed with Mazda, which may be sold as a Fiat despite being initially planned as an Alfa Romeo. The 500X and the specialty vehicle will also be sold in the U.S., in early 2015 and late 2015, respectively.

With all these new models Fiat hopes to increase production from 1.3 million units in 2013 to 1.9 million units in 2018.
