What’s the point of buying an exotic super/hyper car like the new McLaren P1 if you’re going to keep it locked up in a garage? Well, it makes sense if you see these specially made, limited production automobiles purely as an investment, but Jay Leno seems like the kind of person who tries to enjoy his rides as much as possible.
Leno was the first U.S. consumer to get his hands on the P1 (one out of a worldwide total of 375 units), which he received at the end of March, and has since clocked around 1,000 miles (about 1,600 km) on the Volcano Yellow example.
The P1 is the star of the latest episode of Jay Leno’s Garage in which he invited McLaren CEO Mike Flewitt to talk us through the car. Check out the video in full below.
