Following the Captur Arizona special edition, Renault teamed up with outdoor sport and leisure clothing brand Helly Hansen to produce a limited edition Captur featuring Extended Grip, a first for the small crossover.

First seen on the Renault Scénic X-Mod in 2013, the Extended Grip system is an evolution of the traction control system designed to optimize grip in difficult conditions, such as snow, mud, sand and other surfaces. The driver can select one of three available modes (Road, Loose Ground and Expert) using a rotary control on the center console. The Road mode is the default choice for hard surfaces (dry, wet or ice).

Another exclusive feature of the limited-edition Helly Hansen version of the Renault Captur is the Flamme Red exterior paint, also used inside the cabin. Platine Grey front and rear skid plates, 17-inch black diamond-effect alloy wheels and HH badging on the wings complete the exterior upgrades.

On the inside, the limited-edition model features red dashboard trim strips, a “carbon fiber” motif for the steering wheel insert, chrome door sill guards and front carpet mats. Standard equipment also includes the R-Link multimedia tablet with touchscreen display, leather upholstery (depending on market), rear parking sensors or reversing camera and cruise control with speed limiter, among other features.

There are many personalization options for the Renault Captur Helly Hansen, as it can be ordered in one of four two-tone finishes: Flamme Red with a black or ivory roof, Etoilé Black with an ivory roof, Cassiopée Grey with a black roof and Ivory with a black roof.

The Captur Helly Hansen is available with any of the engines available on regular models. Sales will begin in June in most European markets, with the model to reach France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Spain in September.
