You might be searching for YouTube’s elusive variable playback button to bring things up to speed, but Russian authorities are so damn proud of this car chase recorded on one of their “rapid response vehicles” (their words, not ours), that the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Vladimir region where this incident took place on Tuesday, May 13, released this dash-cam footage.

According to authorities, a 35-year old man hitched a ride in the black Lada Samara (VAZ-2115), but shortly after, he threatened the driver and hijacked his car. The owner notified the police and the pursuit was on.

And just like any respectable Hollywood action film, the hijacker left us the best part for last. See what we mean by that in the video footage below.
