Come to think of it, of all the additions to BMW‘s 3-Series range over the years, and that includes the related X3 crossover, the one that makes the most practical sense is the 3-Series Gran Turismo with its extended wheelbase, increased headroom, liftgate and much roomier boot, yet it has received the most flack.

Why? Simply put, because of its oddball looks and less racy styling than the other four-door, 3-Series-based cars like the sedan and the 4-Series Gran Coupe.

There’s nothing you can do to change its silhouette, but perhaps you can improve its appearance and stance via BMW’s M Sport offerings.

The 328i GT posing in these pictures on BMW Abu Dhabi’s showroom floor is an M Sport trim edition fitted with an assortment of M Performance parts. These include gloss black kidney bars with discreet M stripes, front bumper corner spoilers, M decals on the side skirts and tailgate, carbon fiber mirror caps, gloss black rear diffuser, and 20-inch wheels with a staggered tire setup.

So, what say you; does it look any better?
