Citroën produced the 300,000th DS 3 model at the Poissy plant in France since the nameplate launched in 2010. The anniversary model is a limited edition “So Irresistible” sporting a Perla Nera black body paint and featuring the new Xenon Full LED signature headlights unveiled a few weeks ago on the occasion of the model’s first facelift.

The new headlights give the DS 3 a more high-tech look, with the independent modules styled to resemble diamonds. 3D-effect LED taillights complete the modern look, while the LED DRLs remain placed in the bumper. The facelifted DS 3 also gets a new Pearlescent White body paint, as well as new 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

The facelifted DS 3 and DS 3 Cabrio also get new features and personalization possibilities in the cabin, including a laser engraved dashboard strip and screen-printed rear window featuring Paris’ most emblematic monuments: the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe.

The facelift also brings new Euro6-compliant petrol and diesel engines. The two new diesel engines are the BlueHDi 120 and BlueHDi 100, rated at 3.6 l/100 km (65.3 mpg US) and 3 l/100 km (78.4 mpg US), respectively. CO2 emissions are 79 g/km and 94 g/km, respectively.

There’s also the PureTech e-VTi 82 ETG petrol engine, rated at 4.1 l/100 km (57.3 mpg US) and 95 g/km of CO2. The unit is mated to a 5-speed Efficient Tronic Gearbox (ETG) that features a creep function and optimized pedal mapping. In addition to the new Euro6 engines, Citroën continues to offer the DS 3 with the 207 hp “Racing” engine and the THP 155.
