Ford is one of the oldest and most resonant names in the automotive industry. How old, we hear you say? Well, it’s now officially 111 years old (born on June 16, 1903), and to mark the occasion, the company has put out a pretty cool timelapse video showcasing the diverse operations they have going on around the globe every day.

The Blue Oval does business on all continents and makes its cars locally, as well. In recent years, it’s moved from trying to have products tailored for each market to its One Ford philosophy which has the aim of introducing the same model around the world, with minimal changes, and still have it satisfy local needs as well.

However, they do say it’s all in the name of progress, staying profitable and competitive.

It does mean that some local flavor is lost, like in Europe, for instance, where Fords have traditionally been quite different to their American counterparts.
