Believed to get its engine straight out of the Jaguar X-KRS, the upcoming spiced-up Range Rover Sport promises to offer “a lot more performance.” This means it could have 542hp, in addition to predictably stiffer suspension and a higher-performance wheel/tire combo.

In order to distinguish it, an aggressive exterior (and probably interior) makeover will definitely be part of the package, as will active exhausts that make it louder than any stock Range has ever been.

Set to be revealed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the car has received a short video trailer to build up the hype just before release.

Details are sparse at the moment, but will be flushed out once the famed British hillclimb event gets undewary; it’s set to run from June 26 – 29.
