Very small business owners across the US, rejoice! This is your perfect vehicle for carrying organic vegetables to market, or a door-to-door dog grooming enterprise – even pool cleaners will find it sufficient. It’s the all-new 2015 Ram Promaster City, a vehicle based on the European Fiat Doblo.

For the discerning US buyer, Fiat-Chrysler has decided a new face is in order, and it’s a distinctive one, with the grille right below the headlights. Aside from the front and different badges, it’s really just a Doblo with a different engine – a 2.4-liter straight four with 178 hp and 174 lb-ft.

If performance data is what you were looking for, then you’ll be happy to know the vehicle is capable of sprinting to sixty in under 10 seconds.

This bestows the Promaster City with a maximum payload capacity of 1,883 lbs, a cargo volume of 131.7 cubic feet, all contained within a wheelbase that measures 122.4 inches in length.

Power from the engine is sent to the front wheels via the industry’s first nine-speed gearbox – a premiere in the class.

The Promaster City is “available in two-seat Tradesman cargo van and five-seat passenger Wagon configurations,” and it “offers more than 30 safety and security features, including seven available air bags and electronic stability control technologies.”
