While continuing work on the much-anticipated Civic Type R sporting a brand-new 280hp+ 2.0-liter turbo mill that’s expected to land in showrooms next year, Honda’s engineers are also preparing a mid-cycle facelift for the regular versions of the European hatchback.

The cosmetic revisions were actually previewed on the Civic Type R Concept at this year’s Geneva Motor Show in March, and in particular, the new front end with reshaped LED headlamps and grille, plus a redesigned hood and bumper.

Furthermore, for 2015, the facelifted Civic hatch gains newly designed side sills and a reworked rear end with different lights, bumper and the spoiler section of the tailgate.

We can’t see if Honda made any changes to the interior design, but we wouldn’t rule it out. Some upgrades are to be expected under the sheet metal as well.
