Nissan will return to the compact hatchback segment with the new Pulsar that will be priced from £15,995 OTR when it arrives in British showrooms this fall.

The exclusively five-door model will offer a choice of two turbocharged engines, a 113hp (115PS) 1.2-liter DIG-T petrol and a 108hp (110PS) 1.5-liter dCi diesel with either manual or Xtronic automatic transmissions, and from early next year, a 187hp (190PS) 1.6-liter turbo’d petrol.

Customers can choose from four different trim grades starting with the Visia, which is priced from £15,995 and includes a 5-inch colour screen, steering wheel mounted controls, Bluetooth and air conditioning as standard.

The Acenta model that follows starts at £17,645 adding features such as Forward Emergency Braking, automatic lights and wipers and Nissan’s i-Key system, while the n-tec grade is priced from £18,995 and gets a reversing parking camera, 17-inch wheels and an infotainment system with full smartphone integration.

At the top of the range is the Tekna that starts from £20,345, enhancing the Pulsar’s standard list of features with a flurry of goods like leather seats and the Safety Shield Technologies package with Forward Emergency Braking, Moving Object Detection, Lane Departure Warning and Blind Spot Warning.
