Since the two body styles of choice for compact cars in Western Europe are the hatchback followed by the estate, Ford has never felt the need to spruce up its Focus sedan with the same kind of performance enhancing kit it gave its hatchback and more recently wagon, as well.

It would definitely make it more popular Stateside, where the sedan is still the preferred shape of car (after pickups and SUVs, obviously).

There would be no real reason to hate a Focus sedan ST at all, especially since it would feature the same handling, character and qualities that the other two variants have.

X-Tomi has tried to capture the ST spirit and apply it to a Focus sedan. The result of his work is the rendering you see below which shows exactly what you’d expect to see if Ford actually took up the task of making it. It’s the second hot saloon that Ford should be making, but isn’t.
