We won’t judge you for not knowing of the existence of the Ferves Ranger, because they never built that many (600 is the official number), and apparently only around 50 of them are still out there.

It featured the same rear-mounted 500 cc engine a Fiat 500 and also borrowed part of its running gear, and some additional mechanical parts from the larger 600; power could be sent to either the rears or all four wheels.

The seller of this particular one says it’s in decent condition and since it’s claimed to be so rare, he can afford to ask a lot of money for it – he wants $33,000, and says it’s totally worth it because the car has very short gearing so you can crawl along rutted terrain and admire the scenery.

We honestly didn’t expect something that looks like this and is powered by a Fiat 500 engine to be particularly fast. Imagine how tricky it would be to drive something with this wheelbase and wheels this small at any kind of speed off road.

Still, as a novel way to cruise the beach and be seen in something funky and hipsterish, this is actually perfect. RayBans not included.
