With zero fanfare, Chevrolet announced the return of the off-road oriented Z71 package to the redesigned 2015 Tahoe and Suburban.

Chevy made the announcement Thursday in a four-sentence long press release, saying more details would follow in September when the vehicles are officially released. The company may have unexpectedly released a photo of the Z71 package vehicles earlier this week when they announced availability of OnStar 4G LTE on the Tahoe and Suburban beginning this fall.

In any case, expect the Z71 package to add chunkier wheels and tires, some different styling inside and out and a limited slip differential as it does on the Silverado, where it costs between $680 and $1,600 depending on trim.
