Grande Punto, Punto Evo and Nuova Punto are just different names representing different markets and…facelift iterations of the same supermini Fiat has been offering since 2005.

The 2015 Punto Evo pictured here is a facelift for the Indian market that supposedly gives the sub-compact hatchback a fresher appearance. Depending on the mood you’re in, you could say that the Punto Evo’s new face looks conspicuously Maruti Suzuki-esque or amusingly, very Joan Rivers-like after a visit at the cosmetic surgeon.

The Punto Evo’s restyling was previewed through the conceptual Avventura crossover edition earlier this year.

Fiat’s redesign includes sweptback headlamps sitting on a redesigned bumper with a boxed grille, a re-sculpted hood, plus clear tail lamps with LEDs and a new rear bumper with chrome elements.

Interior revisions appear to have focused mainly on the availability of new color combinations, with the dashboard being identical to the one found on the domestic market Linea sedan.

In India, the Punto Evo offers four engine choices, including the 68PS 1.2-liter and 90PS 1.4-liter petrols, and a 1.3-liter turbo diesel in 76PS and 93PS trims, all paired to a standard five-speed manual gearbox.

According to Fiat’s product plan presentation, the Punto Evo facelift likely applies exclusively to the Indian market model.
