According to an older report, Skoda is not going to make a vRS version based on its new Fabia hatch. The reasons they quote are the high price it would end up fetching, a price that would (and did) limit its appeal and market worthiness.

However, there are no restrictions in the world of PhotoShop, so this rendering shows us what it could have looked like.

The sporty makeover it would have received would not have been excessively noticeable, as is the case with the other new vRS, the Octavia, so X-Tomi’s efforts to render one are eerily accurate.

We can’t say we’re going to miss a Fabia vRS all that much, but one more supermini-based hot hatch to choose from was not a bad thing.

Who knows, though, maybe they’ll rethink their approach and surprise us with a release.
