While Renault already makes a totted up borderline-RS variant of its Megane estate, that model is available in very limited numbers, only has 220 hp and doesn’t get the full body kit that you get on the three-door.

It looks okay. but ceases to when you look at this rendered interpretation of what an actual full-bore RS estate might look like.

There’s just something about an estate car, with a factory-widened body and 271 hp that makes instantly cool. X-Tomi got the look spot on, adapting the bolt-on fender flares of the coupe model, while also using that car’s rims to complete the look – the flaring action over the rear wheels looks really nice and would instantly make this RS estate recognizable.

This shape of Megane is approaching the end of the line, soon to be replaced by a much more modern all-new model. We won’t necessarily miss the so-so regular versions, but we’ll definitely remember the RS variants for years to come, and still continue to benchmark even newer hot hatches against them (probably) for years to come.
