It won’t be long before we get full details on the new 204mph (328km/h) new 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat with its 707hp-strong supercharged V8, but for now, watch the live unveiling in the video below the jump.

Like its Challenger SRT Hellcat brethren, Dodge’s high-performance saloon uses Chrysler’s new 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that pumps out 707hp at 6,000 rpm and 650 lb-ft (881Nm) of peak torque at 4,400 rpm.

That’s more than any other, regular-production, super-saloon model we can think of, including the BMW M5 with the performance package (600PS / 592hp)and the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S (577PS / 569hp).

From the presentation, we learn that the Charger SRT Hellcat has bigger brakes with 6-piston Brembo calipers at the front and 4-piston at the back, 20-inch wheels with P-Zero tires, extra aero parts and two key fobs, a black one that restricts power to 500hp and the red one that unleashes all 707 horses.

Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis confirmed a zero to 60mph (96km/h) sprint in 3.7 seconds and a quarter mile run in just 11.0 seconds with stock tires, adding that it will only be offered in rear-wheel drive form with sales to start during the first quarter of 2015(as a 2015MY)
