The Land Rover Series III is the predecessor of today’s Defender, as anyone could tell just by taking a look at its almost unchanged shape. Built between 1971 and 1985, the Series III was one of the most rugged off-roaders of its time.

It still is, as this particular 1973 Land Rover Series III proves. Owned by car photographer Pawel Litwinski, the Series III is truly a vehicle that goes over everything.

Even though he had the chance of shooting hundreds of vintage cars in his career, Litwinski’s dream car remains the Series III, which he wouldn’t sell for anything in the world.

The bond between him and the Series III is so strong that when he got in financial trouble a while ago, he preferred selling his main camera than the Land Rover.
