Unveiled this spring as a cargo van, the Opel Vivaro has now received a Combi version for passenger transport which will debut at the IAA Commercial Vehicles in Hanover (September 23-October 2).
The fully glazed Vivaro has three rows of seats, with each of the three-seat benches in the second and third rows being removable. Furthermore, the backrest in the third row is tiltable and the rear compartment is protected by interior trim paneling.
The Vivaro Combi is available for the first time with the Opel IntelliLink-Infotainment-System with a seven inch color touchscreen and navigation function. Map updates can be accessed via USB download, while telephone calls via Bluetooth and audio streaming are also possible. Features such as keyless access “Keyless Open & Start“ are also available.
The people carrier is offered with two all-new turbo diesels with four output levels: the 1.6 CDTI with 90PS (89hp) or 115PS (113hp) and the 1.6 BiTurbo CDTI with 120PS (118hp) and 140PS (138hp). The 1.6 BiTurbo CDTI features sequential charging and a twin-cooler system, with Opel saying the two simultaneously operating turbo chargers combine “excellent performance with economic fuel consumption.” The Vivaro Combi with the 120PS engine returns 5.7 l/100 km (41.2 mpg US), with CO2 emissions of 149 g/km.
In Germany, the new Vivaro Combi is priced from €30,327.15 ($39,250) including VAT, while the Vivaro panel van is available from €28,072.10 ($36,323).
