Barely just revealed, the all-new Mazda MX-5 / Miata has just been given its second PhotoShop makeover, though this one is actually aimed to look like a higher performance production variant, instead of a beefed up street racer on ‘roids.

X-Tomi is the one responsible for the makeover, and it’s his interpretation of what a hotter MX-5, with a unique body kit and wheels would look like. He obviously took some inspiration from current MPS models, hence the current-gen-looking front bumper.

It looks pretty good, and had it not been for the excessively stanced look (it’s just a bit too low to really look factory), we could have passed it as an accurate interpretation of a possible MPS.

Mazda has yet to announce any special versions of the MX-5, though, to be fair, it’s not the kind of car that will be defined by them, like boring econoboxes. For instance, a Ford Focus’ street cred will be upped considerably by the introduction of a crazy RS model, whereas, I think the MX-5 would always be mainly judged based on the more sedate variants.

But enough talk; check out the three-angle rendering posted below!
