After decades of debates on whether Porsche is pronounced “Porsh-e”, “Porsh-ah”, “Porsh” or “Porsh-uh-oh”, the internet is now interested about the correct pronunciation of Japanese brands.
Cue this clip from the crew at MightyCarMods who say:
“We’ve seen a lot of discussion on forums about how Japanese people pronounce their car brands so we decided to make a quick video showing how they are pronounced.”
The site invited a young Japanese woman to pronounce some of the country’s more popular marques, including Nissan, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Toyota, Mazda, Daihatsu, Honda and Lexus.
