Even if it’s heavily turned down by skeptics, the idea of hydrogen fuel cell cars is still quite prolific in the industry, in spite of all the negative press.

It was Honda which launched the first production(-ish) fuel cell car, the FCX Clarity that was available for lease in California, Toyota now sees itself as a pioneer in the field, or at least it seems that way if you watch its latest ad for the upcoming FCV sedan.

The ad itself is by no means bad, and the fact that it’s like a trailer for a mediocre movie set in the near future is really not a bad thing in this context. It sets the tone nicely for what will really be the first ‘off the shelf’ fuel-cell vehicle ever.

Does it make you want one even more, or does it make you still not care less about this tech which may or may not take off?
