Probably the single most intriguing feature of the new version of the Tesla OS (version 6.0) will be the ability it gives owners to start (and then drive) their car using only their iPhone.

However, it won’t be limited to Apple users as it’s believed an update will add Android compatibility into the system as well.

The photos you see below detail some of the changes. They were sent by a tipster to Electrek and reveal the specifics of the changes/new additions.

The map/navigation is reportedly improved, and features cleaner traffic level graphics, new maps and a generally more streamlined and minimalist presentation.

There’s also a new calendar app which allows syncing of events with your phone. It interacts with the navigation app and it can instruct you to choose a different rout to a future destination beforehand, if it detects you could be hindered by severe traffic jams along the way, or any other time-consuming road blockages that could make you late.
