Perhaps trying a bit too hard to appeal to a different demographic, a Lexus dealer decided to reinterpret the video for Iggy Azalea’s song, Fancy. Oh yeah, they’ll sell a ton of ES300h hybrids this way.
The staff at Lexus of Oakville near Toronto released this video earlier this month and I’m surprised I only now saw it and cringed to it. They’ve taken one of the most ubiquitous songs of 2014 and made a video with a lot of salesmen in suits dancing around and lip-syncing the word “Fancy.”
Oh wait, there’s a mechanic shaking his rear in front of camera over the hood of one of their cars. Puts the Lexus GS in an entirely new light.
This appears to be in conjunction with Lexus of Oakville’s recent grand opening of their new facility, itself an elaborate event with trapeze artists even. Maybe they just do things bigger in Canada?
Watch, but be advised you might still see it in your sleep.
