Despite displacing just 1.0-liters, Ford’s smallest EcoBoost power plant can be tuned to produce upward of 200 hp in racing applications. We don’t know how much it makes exactly when powering this life-sized Hot Wheels Rip Rod, but it seems to be thoroughly capable of quickly creating a dust screen…

The vehicle you see in the video “is an evolution of the static project car first seen at SEMA last year on the Ford Motor Company stand and designed and built by Mattel and Bandito Brothers.”

We don’t know exactly why it was made fully functional (Ford’s press blurb offered no details whatsoever), but it could be displayed at the SEMA show, which runs from November 4 – 7.

Until then, all that’s left to do is enjoy the brief video posted below, which could, for all intents and purposes be called a teaser.
