Renault just keeps on rolling out special grades, as after last week’s Clio GT and Initiale Paris Clio and Espace, the French added a new top of the range trim for the UK market Captur.

Named the Signature, the new model builds on the existing Dynamique S MediaNav version adding a host of extras, including some exclusive features, as standard, with prices starting from £17,495

On the outside, the Capture Signature gets a two-tone finish, 17-inch alloy wheels with black inserts, plus chrome detailing on the side strips, boot lid, front grille and fog lights.

Interior upgrades over the Dymanique S include part-leather upholstery, bespoke doorsill plates and mats, the Red Touch Pack that adds red accents to the center console, speakers and air vents, and the R-Link infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen, navigation, USB connectivity and uprated radio with 3D sound.

Engine choices for this model include two petrols, the 0.9-litre TCe 90 with a 5sp manual and the 1.2-litre TCe 120 with a 6sp, dual-clutch automatic, and a 1.5-litre dCi 90 diesel available with both a manual and an automatic transmission.
