Nissan has announced that the most hardcore member of the Juke family, the Nismo RS, will go on sale in December in Europe with a €27,450 ($34,620) starting price in France.

The price corresponds to the base front-wheel drive model, with the four-wheel drive model to start from €30,250 ($38,133), also on the French market. The Juke Nismo RS is powered by a 1.6-liter DIG-T turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 218PS (215hp), 18PS more than the Juke Nismo. Torque has also increased from 250Nm (184lb-ft) to 280Nm (206lb-ft) for two-wheel drive versions with manual transmission.

2WD models also get a mechanical Limited Slip Differential (LSD) on the driven front wheels. Other enhancements over the standard Juke Nismo include a sharper chassis set-up, more powerful brakes and extra equipment.

Four-wheel drive models are fitted with Nissan’s Torque Vectoring System and the Xtronic transmission as standard, while peak torque is 250Nm. Xtronic models also feature standard steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. The Nismo RS also features a retuned exhaust system with a large diameter silencer for a sportier soundtrack.

Styling upgrades over the Juke Nismo include lower front and rear bumpers, wider wings and sill side skirts, a dark chrome V-motion grille, tailgate spoiler, red brake calipers and discreet “RS” badging on the front and rear. The RS logo also appears in the cabin in the rev counter, with the Nismo RS featuring a performance-oriented steering wheel, pedals, gauges, gear knob and door trims, , as well as special suede-trimmed Nismo sports seats with red stitching.

The new Juke Nismo RS is available in three exterior colors (White Pearl, Black Metallic or Silver Grey), with a single bespoke interior treatment.
