As the first US owner of the 2015 GT-R Nismo, Matt McCulloh, who oh-so-happens to be the co-founder of NAGTROC, the North American GT-R Owners Club, received the special treatment from Nissan.

The Japanese carmaker not only arranged a fancy-pansy delivery at the Crown Nissan dealership, but they also gave McCulloh a unique gift.

“When we realized his passion for the car, his involvement with the GT-R community, and his involvement with the brand, we wanted to do something a little extra special,” said Jeff Simmons, Nissan Marketing.

“First we wanted to be here, to shake his hand, see the smile on his face and just take pride in that moment with him,” explained Simmons. “Additionally we have a little something special for him. We have a crew at his house and they are giving his garage a makeover. That is going to be the home of his new NISMO, so we are giving it a little NISMO touch.”

The first year of production (2015MY) of the fastest and most powerful production version of the GT-R for the USA is already sold out, but there could be a 2016MY in the cards as Nissan has extended the life of the R35 for at least another three years.
