This video captured on a parking-garage security camera in Iceland just gets weirder and weirder by the second culminating to a spectacular flip over.

It’s not new per se, as it was recorded at the Höfðatorg Tower in Iceland back in July of 2011, but it was released to the public for the first time today by Albert Ómar Guðbrandsson, the caretaker for the parking garage.

“We’ve been asked countless times to publish the video, and decided to do so now after legal counsel,” he told Iceland’s Visir news. “We were reluctant to publish it sooner, but we felt that this was the kind of video that the public should be allowed to see it.”

Guðbrandsson said that he was notified about the incident by the police and arrived after the car had turned on its roof, adding that no one was injured.

However, he said that there were significant material damages. “I’d figure the damages came to around 5 million kronur [~US$41,500]” he said.

The report doesn’t say why the man flipped over (both literally and metaphorically), while the video was clearly edited with certain scenes removed. If you know more about it, tell us below.
