They don’t call it the Green Hell for nothing: the Nürburgring Nordschleife is probably the scariest place to drive if you don’t know what you’re doing behind the wheel.
It is equally unforgiving for brilliant drivers who are too cocky to be afraid of it or for professional drivers testing the limits of prototypes. Most of the crashes you are about to see in the following video involved amateur drivers, but there are quite a few from races held at the track. There’s also the famous crash involving the BMW M5 Ring Taxi.
As a general conclusion after watching the entire video, I’d say the Nürburgring rarely forgives a driving mistake, with most crashes resulting in seriously damaged cars.
