More than a dozen drivers had a whoopsie moment on Whoop-Up Drive in southern Alberta late Sunday afternoon after hitting a large patch of black ice. Luckily, no one was injured, according to local media reports.

One of the first motorists to crash, YouTube author Joey Cook, took out his digital camera and recorded one accident after the other.

If you, like some other YouTube commentators are wondering why the camera was shaking and why he opted to film instead of helping out, Cook said:

“Yeah, I’m shaking cause I just did a 180 and was t-boned I had 2 little kids in my car, the moment the 3 crashes that aren’t in the video were over, I found out asked and personally checked that everyone was ok. My wife is a nurse and she watched the kids while I grabbed my slr/ not phone and started recording it. BTW, it was minus 20 outside and there were lots of people to help!”

Viewing the footage, it makes you wonder about the sanity of some of the drivers seen speeding down a road that’s packed with crashed cars.
