While we’re all waiting for the new Volt to drop camo in front of our cameras, the good people of Chevrolet have decided to throw us a bone and show us how the car handles icy roads.

From the looks of things, quite well, but it’s hardly the proper setting for an ice handling test so we can’t draw many conclusions from it. But we’re willing to give GM the benefit of the doubt, especially since they’ve been pretty amped bout the new gen Chevy Volt for some time now, and we’re hoping that it’s going to be a great product.

The new model is expected to look only slightly different than the current generation and it will feature increased battery-life capacity. We’ve already seen a preview of its interior.

The curtains come down in January at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
