When Mercedes-Benz launched the AMG GT coupe, the first discussion about an alternative body style involved a roadster.

Despite the fact that the automaker denied plans for a drop top version, Photoshop experts jumped at the opportunity and virtually chopped off the roof of the AMG GT.

But if a convertible version is unlikely, an AMG GT Shooting Brake is even less probable. While there is a precedent for an AMG GT roadster (the SLS AMG Roadster), there hasn’t been an SLS AMG Shooting Brake. Mercedes-Benz uses the Shooting Brake designation for four-door estates like the CLS Shooting Brake and the recently-unveiled CLA Shooting Brake.

Nevertheless, Hungarian designer X-Tomi loved the idea and imagined such a model, which reminds us a little of Studiotorino’s Mercedes-Benz SL Shooting Brake concept, as well as BMW’s M Coupes. What do you think, would there be a business case for a Mercedes AMG GT Shooting Brake?
