The new Cadillac Escalade’s main similar rival is the Lincoln Navigator. The two have been battling it out for over fifteen years, but now the Navigator has gone turbo and AutoGuide pitted it against its archrival in the comparison video posted below.

Right off the bat, the Escalade just looks more modern and classier, both inside and out (although especially in). Its engine, while more conventional than the Navigator actually proves more efficient, especially when cylinder deactivation kicks in on the highway.

There’s really no contest between which would make you look like the richer person, but you’d also have to pay more for the privilege of driving the Escalade.

Still, having a turbo V6 in a vehicle of this size in the US is a novel idea, and it may find adepts. Besides, it should be more relaxed when just driving around, as its torque comes in much earlier than the naturally aspirated V8 housed by the Escalade bold-looking hood.
