Is there too much of a good thing? When the subject is the Ferrari FXX K, which was launched this weekend at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi, we guess not.

The track-only hypercar was displayed in all its red and black glory rolled out of the pits and joined Ferrari’s other “laboratories on wheels”, the Enzo-based FXX and the 599XX, along with the 458 Challenge, in the Finali Mondiali event that takes place every year and celebrates Maranello’s racing activities.

While the street-legal La Ferrari is no shrinking violet, the FXX K turns the volume up to 11, with extensive aerodynamic upgrades that increase downforce by 30-50 percent, depending on the configuration, and more oomph from both the naturally-aspirated V12 and the HY-KERS system.
