There has been a lot of talk surrounding the performance numbers put down by the Tesla Model S P85D. There’s good reason for that, as Tesla’s new all-wheel drive sedan is a scorcher – if you think the regular single-engined P85 was fast, check out how much faster the D is in comparison.
The Drag Times videos posted below will attest to that. They feature two runs between a P85 and P85D, one from a standstill and one with a rolling start. There is no contest between the two, as the D shoots off both times, leaving the RWD car for dead.
There’s no denying some people who own a P85 will be pretty cross with not having waited for this much more powerful new one. This could mean there will be those who will immediately want to sell and upgrade – the Model S second hand scene is bound to get more interesting soon.
