You may remember a video we featured about two years ago in which UK mall shoppers were asked to guess how much a Dacia Sandero cost.

It was a sponsored ad to promote the then new Romanian hatchback, and now it’s been rehashed and slightly changed for the Duster.

This time the badges aren’t covered up, and people are told what the car is upfront. By the end of the video, an average of all respondents’ price guesses is posted – some people even said it could be worth £30,000, although there were those who figured closer to £12,000 was a safer bet.

The result just goes to show what a clever marketing campaign and delivering clean, rust-free cars does to a brand’s image. Okay, maybe that last part is false, but their ad campaign did work wonders.
