Could this P1 look even better than that gorgeous orange specimen we saw take center stage in that Death Valley photo shoot? It might, what do you think?

This car here was custom made by the MSO (McLaren Special Operations) department of McLaren to include this beautiful Satin Volcano Red shade, which made its way inside the car as well on the center console and the stitching.

It’s a great choice because it works really well in contrast with the carbon fiber used around the exterior of the car – red and dark gray have always worked beautifully together.

On a side note, a car like this fits perfectly into the background whenever it’s near a very modern structure such as the one in these images. You don’t really see it fit that well in your Victorian style driveway. There’s just something about technology being at its peak (like when a car hits 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds and produces over 900 HP) and wanting to see it around other modern or even futuristic surroundings.

This custom build job also includes a 24 karat gold plated exhaust shield, perhaps to mimic the way in which the old McLaren F1 used gold for its thermal properties.

Expert photographer GF Williams is responsible for these greats shots, but it is McLaren themselves who are responsible for building such a stunning streamlined hypercar.
