Now if there’s one thing that will really change the experience of driving it’s having glass double as a screen and have it display various items of relevant information.
Hyundai is looking at the idea and it showed off what its future system will be like using a big screen set in front of a Genesis sedan at the Consumer Electronics Show 2015.
KBB checked it out and it really looks promising if they can pull it off and make it look as good and as seamless as it did in the demo – seems like it would go great with transparent A-pillars.
It would not only improve safety (and maybe even driver awareness), but it would be one of those technical innovations that are also cool. What’s even cooler is it’s supposedly already technically and commercially feasible to do, but it’s still a little further in the future – 5 years, maybe?
