The long-rumored Jaguar crossover will finally be shown next year and be called the F-Pace, company officials confirmed Sunday.

AutoNews Europe said its sources confirmed the Jaguar F-Pace will take cues from the 2013 C-X17 Concept that was shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Jaguar Land Rover released a teaser photo of the new crossover today, with more details expected to be revealed later Sunday.

The F-Pace will use the same aluminum platform and other pieces from the recently revealed Jaguar XE compact sedan, and produced on the same line in Solihull, England.

It’s unclear where the F-Pace will be shown in production form, but it is an eagerly awaited model for Jaguar as it sets out to significantly boost its sales in this half of the decade.
