If you went to last years’ Paris Motor Show and checked out what Jeep brought to play with, you most certainly would have noticed this good looking SRT Grand Cherokee Red Vapor Edition.

Looking at it you’ll notice the Red Vapor color-coded bodykit, the 20″ wheels with glossy black grilles and badges, while inside you’ll see a lot of leather, from the seats to the steering wheel, as well as backlit SRT badging.

Of course, there’s also an 8.4″ sat-nav system with touchscreen and Bluetooth, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, power-tailgate, plus a very impressive 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. The car looks good, it really does, both inside and out. Unfortunately for JEEP, they’re still not on the same level as the Germans (quality-wise) with their ML 63 AMG, BMW X5M and Porsche Cayenne Turbo SUVs.

All these features come as standard on the Red Vapor Edition, along with the Active Noise Cancellation system which uses the audio system to counter low-frequency engine noises.

Obviously when it comes to engine noise, you can count on the naturally aspirated 6.4 liter V8 unit powering the Grand Cherokee SRT to play your favorite tune. It’s got 470 HP, an 8-speed auto and it’ll hit 62 mph in 5 seconds flat.

All this for £64,999 – which is a huge bargain compared to how much you have to pay to buy any of its European rivals.

Buyers will also be able to choose from three different colors, one of which will be this great looking Redline Red. The other two colors: Brilliant White and Brilliant Black.

Sales for the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Red Vapor will start next month.
