Ever wonder why so many supercars are called exotics these days? It’s been going around a lot lately. Just because it’s fast and it’s Italian, doesn’t mean it’s not selling in the tens of thousands.

So maybe we should stop calling every Gallardo or 458 an exotic since almost everybody who can afford one, has one, and from this perspective, start limiting our vocabulary to include only cars such as this amazing looking Veneno Roadster. This specimen was spotted at a Hong Kong Lamborghini dealership and it happens to be just 1 of 9 Veneno Roadsters ever produced, but already the second Veneno currently living in the greater Hong Kong area.

The price of this car? Only about €3.3 million which puts the Veneno Roadster in the top 10 of the world’s most expensive cars…of all time!

Of course, this car isn’t just all show and no “go”. We’re talking about a 6.5 liter rear-mounted V12 engine, delivering 750PS and 690 Nm of torque to its four wheels with the help of a 7-speed automatic transmission. It can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds and it will take you as high up as 355 km/h (220 mph).

For all intents and purposes, this is a proper exotic car, a collector’s item and a topless beast at the same time.
