The new Legacy is one of the blandest-looking cars in its segment, which probably explains why Subaru is experimenting with its styling at the Tokyo Auto Salon.

Finished in a passionate “Premium Red” color, the Legacy B4 Blitzen gains brownie points for its exterior upgrades that include new front and rear bumpers, side skirts and a unique boot lid wing, all trimmed in carbon fiber.

It also gets a gloss black front grille and 19-inch alloy wheels with carbon fiber inserts mounted on Bridgestone Potenza tires size 245/40R19 on all four corners.

Subaru re-did the interior using a two-tone color theme to give the Legacy a more premium feel (or so they claim), along with new gloss black dashboard and door panel trims, and aluminum pedals.

The concept, which has the same 170PS 2.5-liter boxer engine as the regular model, could lead to a production model for the local market.
