The record for the tightest parallel parking maneuver is a highly contested title. It’s been going back and forth over the last few years, being broken time and again – last time we recall of hearing about it was at a Chinese venue.

Now, Alastair Moffatt, a UK stunt driver who’d previously held the record twice, was keen to get it back. He got a call to try and beat it in front of a gathered crowd of a couple thousand people and he said yes – the exploits are summed up in the short video posted below.

We don’t know exactly how much the gap has shrunk in order to ensure Moffatt the record, but last time it was broken, it was a mere 15cm or 5.91 in longer than the car.
