Volvo shared a promo/music video on its Swedish YouTube channel and it celebrates the brand’s Scandinavian roots. The Geely-owned automaker wants to reassure everybody that it builds cars with the same philosophy it always has – the campaign is called “Made by Sweden.”

It’s along the same lines as the TV campaign that ran in the US that’s perfectly summed up in the image posted in the gallery below.

The video has its own purpose-written song to go along, all set against the background of Swedish sights shot with a very blue filter. It’s very pretty and, to be fair, it’s one of the better attempts at this type of campaign, up there with the likes of Porsche.

It wants to emphasize the durable nature and reliability of Volvos as well as the company’s view that “all-wheel drive is not unnecessary additional equipment one can boast, it is a function that takes you home.” Safety tech is also (obviously) mentioned in the description.
